About the new free album:
I am glad to present you my second album, offered on download for free.
I wanted to make a "gipsy" jazz recording, featuring some guitar guests.
There was two guitar players I wanted to invite because I admire them, and I'm glad they accepted my invitation:
Fabian DAURAT : pure feeling, pure improvisation, the guy who speaks right to your heart.
Jean-François MIGNOT: the only virtuoso who can mix different technics and make it music, like mixing shred and Sylvain Luc's style. The result is full of energy, and beautifull improvisation.
For the doublebass, I called the only guy who I thought would stick perfectly to the esthetic, and I was very glad he accepted my invitation: David GOUSSET.
There was two days of recording. The session took place at my friend's home, Nicolas DESSE. The idea was to do something simple, honest, without cheating, and it turned out to be full of fun.
I later had the blessing to meet very well-known sound engineer Pascal FLORK. He mastered this auto-production recording, and made it better, I am so glad and grateful he accepted to be part of this album.
This was a great human adventure, friendship and knowledge combined. I'm so glad to share it with you now. I hope you will like it, and if you do, that you will share it too !!!

BIOGRAPHY:

I was born in 1982 and started to play the guitar at 12. I taught myself until I turned 18. Then I started to take lessons, because at this point I needed an instructor to help me get into jazz, classical, and sight reading. Finally, at 26, I decided to become a professional guitar player, after many years of "day job" activities.
There's so many different ways to play the guitar, I love them all! That's why it took me long to understand how important it is to master a particular style. When I started to take part to "gipsy" jazz jam sessions, I realized that, in order to become a professional, I had to become a master. So I started to commit to master the "gipsy" style, focusing on practicing properly and all the technical aspect, but always tracking the bottom line : it's about expressing emotions.
In 2010, a short day in front of two microphones became my first album, Waiting for B. This album actually turned out to be some kind of therapy, a necessary step toward my goal : I hope to record my own compositions in the "gipsy" jazz style. If I ever do, that would mean to me I did my own thing with "gipsy" jazz music, found my way to freedom into it.  And if that happens, then I'll be ready to get back to my first loves in music. Maybe I will, maybe not, I don't know, and that's what I like about it, I like it like that in music : you never know where you go, it is IMPROVISATION, it is just LIFE.
